Evaluations

Professionalism is critical to ensuring ethical, respectful, and accurate assessments. As such, all evaluators at the NYMHG maintain objectivity, avoid personal bias, and adhere strictly to evidence-based practices and established protocols. Clear, nonjudgmental communication is essential, especially when discussing sensitive or potentially distressing topics. Confidentiality and informed consent must be prioritized, and the client’s dignity is always respected, regardless of the context of the evaluation. Additionally, all evaluators are culturally competent, trauma-informed, and transparent about the purpose and limits of the assessment, particularly when it is court-ordered or has legal implications.
